My clients have within them the seeds to heal, change and grow. My job as a seasoned psychologist, is to listen with care, warmly support, and guide them-- child, adult, couple or family-- so those seeds can take root and thrive. As a helper, I often work with a child's school or with other helpers from my client's community, to insure that barriers to growth are removed and available supports are put in place. I use skills drawn from psychodynamic, family systems and behavioral orientations and from over 30 years of experience in clinics, schools and private practice. I work with children experiencing a range of problems, including anxieties, phobias, obsessive symptoms, depression, oppositional behavior, learning and attention difficulties. Parents, who want to support the child's growth, take part in the therapy too. Lately, I am working more with elders, who have their special needs and challenges. I am involved in forensic family work. Often at the referral of family attorneys and judges, I do Parenting Coordination, parent counseling, parent-child reunification counseling, and also parent-child visitation and evaluation. I am a founding member of the Parenting Coordination Council of Delaware.
