I am at my best when working with people who are experiencing difficult and challenging situations that have exceeded their usual ability to cope. This may sometimes result in depression and/or anxiety, or issues related to values, basic life assumptions, and spiritual questioning. I have particular experience in working with those who are dealing with a wide range of issues including relationship issues, issues related to sexuality (including gay, lesbian and transgender issues), grief and loss, and trauma. I have over twenty years of experience specializing in crisis intervention. I utilize a strengths based, solution oriented short term therapy model as I assist clients in achieving their goals for therapy. I also incorporate a transpersonal perspective for those who wish to explore the spiritual as well as the psychological aspects of their situation. I provide a caring and supportive therapeutic environment, as I actively facilitate change and growth in people who may be experiencing new life challenges, or who are interested in resolving deeper issues that may be contributing to current difficulties in coping.
