I see counseling as a means to get back in step with life. For many, life has become a bit too difficult to handle in the same, customary way, making the help of a counselor necessary. As a counselor, its my obligation and privilege to create an atmosphere of trust and safety, where the client can reestablish themselves in life; regaining a sense of worth and strength to face each day. In most cases, the counseling experience is relatively short-term; simply an opportunity to reflect and retool, if needed, for the road ahead. As a Pastoral Counselor, while I work with a wide range of clients due to my clinical training, I especially enjoy the opportunity to work with folks who wish to address their counseling needs within the framework of their faith, utilizing this strength and perspective for their desired outcome. Over the years, I have tended to work a great deal with couples, both in marriage and pre-marriage counseling. While receiving referrals from a variety of sources, we have been very happy to be a referral option for a number of churches, of various denominations, throughout Delaware.
