As a professional counselor with specialties in play therapy and school psychology, my therapeutic approach in working with children, teens, adults, and families includes a holistic and contextual family approach addressing family stressors, interpersonal conflicts, attachment issues, and parent/child conflicts. I treat children from age 2 1/2+ utilizing play therapy techniques to explore personal and interpersonal stressors. Parents are included in treatment to support them in addressing family therapy issues, attachments issues, trauma (PTSD), and parenting skills. Adult therapy is available for any adult seeking personal growth. I help children deal with difficulties through directive and non-directive play. I work with children and families through play and imagination, parenting skills, and family therapy through a contextual therapy approach as I address intergenerational patterns and childhood wounds to heal and gain insight and skills for personal growth. Our practice is unique in that we provide comprehensive therapy for children, teens, adults and families. Our mission is to help families heal. As both a mental health counselor and a school psychologist, educational issues are also addressed.
