I understand how hard it is to sort through a list of names to find someone with whom you are comfortable talking. Clients often tell me that they felt at ease in our first phone contact. I love what I do; helping individuals and families understand and learn healthy ways to cope with issues like depression, anxiety, troubled relationships, & loss, and to make lasting changes in their personal lives. So many people feel overwhelmed and don't know where or how to start and it can be as simple as calling to set up the first appointment. I see a mix of individuals, couples, and adolescents & their families. I am a certified marriage and family therapist as well as a licensed clinical social worker. My special interest is the impact on the family system from depression; anxiety; school problems; ADH/D, and communication breakdown. I have the experience of being married 38 years, raising 2 sons, and share that wisdom with a sense of humor.
