I work extensively with children and adults who have Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). I can help you with making and understanding the diagnosis of ADHD. I can also help you evaluate several possibilities for treating ADHD, such as academic accommodations, supports, and parenting approaches. Although I cannot prescribe medications, I can collaborate with the prescribing physician. I have worked with many children who have been much more successful when their ADHD was treated. Attention deficits are associated many conditions other than ADHD. Although I specialize in ADHD, I am also experienced in treating anxiety, PTSD, aggression and depression. I listen carefully to understand your strengths and your concerns. Together we will explore possibilities for improving your life and your relationships. Many providers separate spirituality from treatment. I will gladly include your spiritual values and religious beliefs into therapy. My goal is to honor your beliefs, not to proselytize you. Inclusion of your spiritual beliefs can be especially helpful in addressing trauma, loss and motivation.
