I am a licensed counselor and registered play therapist supervisor with sixteen years of clinical experience in a variety of different settings. I work with all ages, but specialize in the counseling needs of infants, preschoolers, and adolescents. My specialty areas include diagnosing and treating ADHD, anxiety, eating disorders, attachment, and trauma. As a counselor, I strive to create a safe environment conducive to producing change and growth. I am specifically trained to work with abused and neglected children. I see children as having the ability to use play as a means to communicate their needs, fears, and psychological issues. The value of play in child counseling is the cornerstone to my approach as well as the use of therapy dogs in psychotherapy.
