Ross Halpern, Ph.D., L.P. and Associates are a group of psychologists and psychotherapists that specialize in helping people that suffer from chronic pain, emotional trauma from injury, and other health related stressors. Ross Halpern, Ph.D., L.P. teaches chronic pain psychology at the University of Michigan and he is on staff at five different hospitals throughout the state of Michigan where he specializes in helping people deal with the stress of chronic pain. Since Dr. Halpern started working with chronic pain patients in 1992, he has treated over 25,000 chronic pain patients. The types of issues that he has helped patients with include arthritis, degenerative disc disease, bulging discs, migraine headaches, fibromyalgia, CRPS (Complex Regional Pain Sydrome), and RSD (Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy). Patients that come to see Dr. Halpern often report that they are frustrated because they have already been to numerous physicians, have had medical tests that lead to medical procedures that lead to medication, which in turn, leads to more tests, procedures, and medications with no clear answers and no end in sight.
