I enjoy working with people that are struggling with issues such as depression,anxiety, trauma, PTSD, grief, stress, chronic illness and pain. I have always been a good listener and have empathy for others. People feel comfortable sharing and trusting me. I have a wide variety of experience personally and professionally that I bring "to the table".My experience includes work as a medical social worker for home health care, inpatient substance abuse, and outpatient adult psychotherapy. Work with children and families includes, work in intensive foster care, child and adolescent therapist, and school social work. I love my work! One of my favorites is client- centered therapy. Each individual is unique and may benefit by different approaches. I like to be knowledgeable about a wide range of strategies. I don't have a "specialty" at this time and enjoy working with a variety of clients and using different approaches. Fellowship Counseling implies a Christian based approach.This is optional as some clients are not interested. I have the freedom to discuss with clients their spirituality,encourage their spiritual growth and use biblical wisdom and prayer to strengthen them. Clients can be comfortable discussing where they are in their faith.
