LifeSpan Counseling provides support to adults of all ages in a barrier-free office setting conveniently located on Lansing's west side. Common treatment issues include coping with depression, anxiety, loss, trauma and other life crisis. Through counseling, clients can develop alternative ways to cope with stressors such as young adult life transitions, career changes/work strain, interpersonal conflict, women's issues, divorce adjustment and more. Most insurances are accepted including Medicare. A private-pay rate is also available. LifeSpan Counseling is especially sensitive to the complex changing needs of older adults and those struggling with chronic health problems. Issues addressed include grief & loss, coping with chronic pain, disability, and degenerative diseases as well as providing family/caregiver support. I obtained my masters degree in social work at MSU where I received the Award for Excellence in Clinical Social Work. With over 30 years in mental health, my professional experience includes outpatient psychotherapy, inpatient psychiatric care, day treatment, substance abuse counseling, home-based counseling, and hospice bereavement care.
