I specialize in working with individuals and couples struggling with relationship issues, depression, anxiety, and addiction. My areas of expertise include Imago Relationship Therapy, men's issues, sexual issues, postpartum depression in women and men, parenting issues, and treating childhood trauma. I believe that life is meant to be shared with other people and that our relationships also present us with our greatest challenges in life. I believe that the voices of girls and the hearts of boys are damaged from our society's traditional roles of manhood and womanhood. We live in an anti- relational, vulnerability-averse culture. My aim is to help each person move beyond traditional gender scripts and discover their own life path. My approach combines my clinical training in treating depression, anxiety, and addiction at the University of Michigan with my training in Gestalt Therapy, Imago Relationship Therapy and Men's Work. My focus is not on diagnosing illness, but rather on teaching new skills and helping you discover healthy coping strategies.
