Maintaining balance and purpose in life can be difficult. Challenging life circumstances, changes, and/ or losses can make life stressful. I offer a compassionate, respectful, and healing space to intentionally explore feelings, thoughts, and behaviors that are causing you suffering. Suffering is often increased by feeling isolated and disconnected by our emotional pain. Difficulties in our relationships can further complicate our distress. A compassionate and non-judgmental therapy relationship in which you feel understood is the first step towards healing. My therapeutic perspective allows you to increase awareness of your emotions and behaviors that have become negative ways of coping. This awareness contributes to fresh perspectives, creative options, increased compassion towards self, and allows positive changes towards your life. My own life experiences make me look forward to working with people from different cultural, racial, ethnic, gender, and sexual identity groups. I see both individuals and couples in my practice. Some of the concerns that I have expertise working with are related to depression, anxiety, illness, emotional and/or physical pain, trauma, grief, relationship issues, gender dysphoria, sexual identity development, and job stress. I look forward to the opportunity to work with you. Please call or email if you have questions.
