Kristin received her Bachelor's degree from Calvin College, and her Master's and Doctoral degree from Wheaton College. Kristin has completed specialized training and concentrations in Marriage & Family, and Children & Adolescent treatment. Kristin especially enjoys working with adolescents, young adults, and families, as well as walking alongside clients who have experienced traumatic loss and grief. Kristin's approach utilizes a variety of treatment modalities, including psychodynamic therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy, family therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, and acceptance and commitment therapy. She enjoys working with individuals as well as families across the lifespan. Kristin enjoys creating an individualized, collaborative relationship with each client in order to meet each person's unique goals. Although people enter therapy for a variety of reasons, most people desire to gain understanding about themselves and their relationships. Kristin cultivates a space for such discoveries and growth to unfold. Kristin provides encouragement and guidance to her clients in order to support them in living more empowered, hopeful, and purposeful lives, which are aligned with their personal values. She also provides psychological testing to clarify a diagnosis of ADHD in children and to illuminate personality dynamics for adolescents and adults.
