Isolation, hopeless, worried all the time, scared, feeling alone even when surrounded by others, and living in a fog. These are words that many clients use to describe how they feel in their first session. Many clients I work with want relief and change. Anxiety, depression, family stress, alcoholism, or past history of trauma is painful to experience. I work collaboratively with my clients to discover new coping skills. We will work on ways to reduce stress and pain. My approach is supportive, strength-based, and action oriented. I have 18 years of experience providing therapy. My treatment specialties cover the lifespan. With adults I provide treatment for: anxiety, depression, pain management, trauma, substance abuse, grief and self esteem. With teens and children: anxiety, self esteem, bullying, adoption related issues, substance abuse, and depression. I have an office in Birmingham and in downtown Plymouth. Please feel to call me for a free consultation. Or take a look at my website for further information: www.therapyhelped.com.
