In order to properly build a secure structure that can withstand the outside elements, an individual would need to ensure that he or she has prepared a proper foundation. When developing a stable relationship with someone else, the same premise can be true. A crucial and and commonly misused quality of the foundation is effective communication. An individual should be aware that this is more than just talking and listening to someone else. My goal as a therapist is to work with the client to better understand how we can improve the foundation that is already in place. Using an eclectic approach, with roots in Person-Centered theory, I understand that not everyone is the same. My target population is adults, children, couples and families. I have experience with premarital counseling, as well as working with divorce, blended, and inter-faith families. I am available for appointments Monday-Friday.
