Cristina earned her Master's degree from St. Louis University and is a member of the American Counseling Association.Cristina assists individuals in finding a sense of calm, centered connectedness within themselves and in their lives. Through guided skill teaching and practice, individuals will learn how to let go of judgements and begin to experience their emotions without being controlled by them. Clients will develop an understanding of how life experiences have shaped their way of functioning in the world, their self-worth, how they relate to others, and how they react to different situations and relationships. With this understanding clients will learn how to challenge negative core beliefs and change intense fears that prevent them from living the life they want. Cristina utilizes guidance and skill building to provide insight and to unlock an individual's true potential to cope with life's challenges. Cristina's specializations consist of treating trauma, anxiety, eating disorders, depression, grief, panic, and addictions.Cristina possesses training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), the Internal Family Systems model, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy. Cristina will individualize your treatment plan to assist you in finding the best approach for you.
