I've been a counselor since 1973. I believe as people become more accepting of themselves, they are more capable of finding happiness and contentment in their lives. Self-awareness and self acceptance are goals that sometimes take a long time to achieve. While some clients may need only a few counseling sessions to feel complete, others may require more. Clients are in complete control and may end our counseling relationship at any point and I will be supportive of that decision. If counseling is successful, clients should experience themselves as able to face life's challenges without my support. I specialize in treating clients ages 3-80 with stress, depression, anxiety, ADHD/ADD and provide play therapy services for young clients as well. I offer services for couples, families and individuals with a variety of difficulties, always with achievement of the client's goals in the forefront. I also offer assistance with anxiety, insomnia and depression through the use of an FDA approved medical device, allowing clients who suffer from these difficulties to attain remarkable relief without the use of medication. Sometimes, biofeedback is used to assist clients in realizing their own power to self calm.
