I am an Art Therapist and Licensed Mental Health Counselor with over seven years of experience working with children, adolescents and adults. In my practice, I strive to approach each and every therapy session with compassion, understanding, and creative interventions that are directed toward personal healing and growth. In my career, I have had a wide range of experiences, from working with developmentally disabled children and adults, to leading therapeutic groups in an inpatient hospital setting, to counseling individuals, couples and families struggling with trauma, grief and loss, relationship problems and major life changes. I am currently working in a private practice where I see individuals, couples and families. I like to use a variety of evidence based techniques including, CBT, DBT, Mindfulness and Art Therapy, in order to meet the needs of each unique individual. My style has been described to me as calm, open, and supportive. Art therapy is an established mental health profession that uses the creative process of art making to improve and enhance the physical, mental and emotional well-being of people at all ages. It is based on the belief that the creative process helps people to resolve conflicts, develop skills, reduce stress, and increase self-esteem.
