I am committed to providing compassionate, knowledgeable and skillful psychotherapy and education to individuals, children, families and groups. My focus is on persons who are overwhelmed with suffering, struggling and experiencing pain and difficulty resulting from life crises. I partner with my patients to help them achieve spiritual, physical and emotional well-being and character development. I believe these are vital for positive life style changes and achieving successful life transitions. I work with patients (children, families, groups and individuals) across a broad range of issues and diagnoses, including abuse (emotional, physical, sexual, verbal), anger, anxiety, alcohol and other substance abuse, divorce recovery, marriage and family conflict, interpersonal relationship problems, trauma, school/job/career challenges, Christian faith issues and health problems. My therapeutic approach includes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trauma Focused CBT, Solution Focused Brief Therapy, motivational interviewing and Bible based marital/family Therapy. A special feature is being a Certified Substance Abuse Professional and Urine Collector on/off site drug testing and reporting for departments of correction and other agencies.
