I am a licensed clinical psychologist who specializes in working with adults and adolescents who are struggling with depression, anxiety, and relationship problems. I believe strongly in a psychodynamic therapy approach, which involves helping patients to recognize and change certain behaviors, patterns, and modes of communication that interfere with their ability to find fulfillment and achieve their goals. By creating a warm, caring environment where honest conversations and discoveries can take place, I help patients find relief from painful emotions and foster greater self-awareness and understanding of others. I also work with children, adolescents, and adults with developmental disabilities. I address the complete range of mental health issues, including inappropriate aggressive behaviors. I help patients to recognize their feelings and express themselves effectively. This decreases acting-out behaviors, improves relationships, and builds self-esteem.
