We must abide by privacy laws, so we can only communicate with the family members approved by the patient, and in the manner to which they consent. If we have permission from the patient, then we will communicate with you and involve you throughout the patient's treatment. We offer addiction family therapy on the weekends that you are welcome to attend. We also have personalized case managers and a concierge that communicates with the approved family members, updating them on the patient's progress. We will also include you in discharge planning. Once a patient leaves our facility, you will be the support network that helps him or her remain strong in recovery and not relapse. It is also encouraged that you continue the substance abuse treatment and family therapy, perhaps by finding a family counseling center, once your loved one has left our facility.
