No two people are the same- not even two therapy sessions with the same person are the same. So, describing what therapy is like on a web site is a little like describing what all rivers look like. What I can say about therapy with me is that you will not be a diagnosis, you will not be met with a 'one-size fits all' approach to treatment, and you can count on being met with integrity, actively given the best of what I know from doing this for 20 years, and encouragement to get to where you want to be. The most common concerns my clients face are probably depression, anxiety, trauma, and intimacy & relationship issues. I blend treatment approaches to both tend to current problems as well as to how these problems developed in the first place. I offer Individual and Couples Therapy, Supervision, and Consultation. As a therapist, faculty member, supervisor, and also as a client myself, I know that there is tremendous power in the therapy relationship.
