Have you noticed a change in your child's behavior? Is worry, anger or sadness affecting your family's daily life? Has your child's school expressed concerns? Difficulty coping with change and life's stressors can happen at any age. Without the appropriate skills to communicate their emotions, children often express their feelings through negative behavior. Psychotherapy can be a positive process through which children learn the strategies and skills needed to cope, adjust and effectively communicate their thoughts and feelings. I offer counseling and therapy services to children/families to assist them in this process of change. Engaging the child in the therapeutic relationship is critical to effect therapy. As a mother, I understand how a warm and supportive demeanor can help build trust and allow your child to feel comfortable in sessions. My hope is that your child will not only, see change but also, enjoy the process. Through the therapeutic process, I can work with you and your family to help your child develop the skills needed to effectively cope with challenging emotions and improve behavior at any stage of development. I look forward to providing compassion, understanding and guidance for your child and your family!
