The challenges of life are opportunities to learn about ourselves and make changes to bring us more happiness and health. If you feel unsatisfied, angry, sad or stressed, these emotions can lead to depression, anxiety, relationship problems and poor health. I believe therapy should be client-centered and focused on strengths to promote coping and self-growth. Whether your symptoms or patterns are lifelong or you are experiencing them in response to a life stressor or embarking on a new phase of life, I can help you learn the skills to create the life you want. My approach to therapy is collaborative and goal-directed and focused on improving overall wellness and empowering people. I accomplish this by helping you to eliminate negative thinking, resolve trauma, cope with stress and promote self-care. I use an eclectic approach that includes cognitive-behavioral, psychodynamic and existential therapies. I have a sub-specialty in Health Psychology which allows me to address the relationship between emotions and medical issues such as chronic pain, illness, migraines and women's health in the adolescent, adult and geriatric populations. I can provide Biofeedback therapy for pain, hypertension, stress, anxiety, headaches, fertility issues.
