One specific approach to dealing with personal problems does not fit all! Rather, I fit my approach to my client. My practice is specialized in working with individuals over the age of 21 and families affected by addictions, alcohol, gambling and co-occurring disorders such as depression and anxiety. I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor, Nationally Certified Counselor and have certifications in treating Gambling Disorders and addictions and Co-Occurring Disorders. My approach is evidenced based (scientifically proven) and incorporates proven Mindfulness techniques for the management of anxiety, stress and relapse prevention. In keeping with fitting my approach to my client, I do not require mandatory 12-step group participation. While groups such as AA or NA have helped millions, these groups are not for everyone and I recognize that 12-step approaches may not be for you.
