Assisting you at the highest level, my knowlege&skills are kept current. I've been a licensed psychologist for over 17yrs. I assist children & teenagers, adults, couples and families. Prior to private practice, I obtained extensive inpatient experience in a psychiatric prison, an inpatient adolescent facility and the University of Virginia Health Sciences Center . My BA & Masters in Clinical Community/Community Psychology are from Chapman University in California. Another Masters and a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology specializing in Psychotherapy are from Georgia State University. My residency was at the University of Virginia Health Sciences Center andcompleted a Fellowship in Pain Management in the Anesthesiology Department. Dr. Shook treats people with warmth and caring while making your sessions challenging. Dr. Shook is both a Licensed Psychologist and a Licensed Professional Counselor.
