Sonia Levine is an exceptional psychotherapist - approachable, ethical and humane. Her life's passion is to support people who have experienced deep trauma and despair, and help them regain hope and courage through the process of healing. Sonia has worked at one of the world's top treatment centers for trauma and addiction, The Meadows in Wickenburg, Arizona. There she trained with Pia Mellody, author of Facing Codependence and Facing Love Addiction; with Claudia Black, Ph. D., author of It will Never Happen to Me and Deceived. Her therapeutic specialty is trauma and addiction. She is a licensed professional counselor and nationally certified counselor, and is certified as well in the treatment of sex addiction and multiple addictions, for which she trained with Patrick Carnes, Ph. D., author of Out of the Shadow, and Facing the Shadow. She is a Senior Faculty member of Dr. Brené Brown's The Daring Way(tm), and is a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner a form of treatment for trauma resolution.
