As a licensed marriage and family therapist I focus on client individual/family concerns such as relationship/marital difficulties and problem behavioral patterns. I also provide therapy for individuals, couples, families, and groups dealing with readjustment transitioning, depression, anxiety, PTSD, trauma, stress, addiction and domestic violence. I am an interactive therapist. I provide feedback to my clients in the form of pattern identification (whats working/what isnt) and suggested strategies for achieving their goals. I often assign homework for individuals and couples to apply new approaches to their problems.I concentrate on assisting clients to achieve their goals. I specialize in cognitive behavioral therapy from a family systems perspective. The average number of sessions per problem area is 8-12, with more for some trauma and average length less than 6 months. Some choose to come in after that time periodically for goal maintenance/re-solidification, or relapse prevention adherence. Cognitive behavioral therapy and family systems model let me know Im applying the most proven methods for my clients. This also allows me to view my clients as real people; individuals, couples and families who are trying to resolve the impact of past experiences, solve certain problems or transitioning adjustment in their lives.
