I am trained as a therapist and dually certified as a yoga therapist and yoga teacher. Many of my clients seek more than traditional talk therapy, and I always operate from a strengths based, client centered approach. Depending on client needs, a session may involve only talk therapy, or talk therapy plus breathing practice, guided meditation or postures from the yoga tradition. I love working with adolescents and teens, and I used to work at Youth Home, Inc., a residential treatment facility. I also enjoy working with individuals and couples related to sexuality issues, body awareness and LGBTQ issues. I believe we hold our issues in our tissues, and using talk therapy techniques combined with ancient yoga techniques is a powerful way to teach a client to heal themselves. I believe we need to go inside and listen to our own wisdom to find contentment. I have trained other mental health clinicians about working with gender variant clients, and I have educated myself by attending the Philadelphia Trans Health Conference for several years. I am not a certified sex therapist, but I excel in creating a comfortable space for people to explore sexuality.
