CUSTOM COUNSELNG is an Affiliate of Cornerstone Behavioral Healthcare, headquartered in Waterville, ME. My office is located in Yarmouth. I focus on counseling the individual, each requiring a personal approach and treatment. Often a client has a co-occurring diagnosis, which is a combination of mental health issues and addictions. Working with these clients is my speciality. My therapeutic style is eclectic (a mix of many theories), conforming uniquely to the needs, personality and position of each individual person. Of course, I also work with a person who presents with a singular issue, such as difficult marital relations or depression. Because I work with both mental health issues as well as addictions and with adolescents as well as adults, I often involve, with a client's permission, the family/extended family during some phase of therapy, resulting in a more holistic approach. Regarding those clients who need evaluations and/or counseling as a result of an OUI, my practice is also certified as a DEEP provider. Of interest, I also have a Masters of Science in Communications from Boston University, which facilitates easy and effective communication with my clients.
