Amanda is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor who offers individual and family therapy for adults, adolescents, and children. She is a graduate of Butler University where she earned her Bachelor's degree in Psychology before obtaining her Master's degree in Clinical Psychology from the University of Indianapolis. Before joining the LifeSolutions family, Amanda provided individual therapy for students who sought treatment at a local university counseling center and provided group therapy for adult patients participating in an outpatient chemical dependency program in a hospital setting. She now serves as a Therapist and Clinical Supervisor at LifeSolutions Counseling. Amanda has experience working with a diverse range of individuals in terms of age, ethnicity, gender, socioeconomic status, and presenting problems. Her clinical interests include anxiety disorders, depression, self-harm, LGBTQ issues, eating and body image issues, substance abuse, grief and loss, trauma/abuse, and relationship issues. Amanda uses an integrative approach that is influenced by a variety of therapeutic principles including Cognitive-Behavioral, Client-Centered, Strength-Based, Solution-Focused, and Interpersonal theories. She employs elements from a range of therapeutic techniques with the goal of creating a treatment program that meets each individual's specific needs.
