I believe in the inherent wisdom that lies within each of us. Sometimes sadness, pain, anger, anxiety and discomfort can block us from that wisdom and we find ourselves stuck in our lives. My goal in helping my clients is to provide a safe environment within which we can work together to remove the blocks to joy, love, peace and happiness, furthering personal growth and healing. I truly believe that the answers we need lie within each of us. Part of my job is to help you sift through the layers to find the answer that is right for you. My counseling focus includes depression, anxiety and grief resulting from death, divorce, chronic illness, suicide and other life changes. I also work with clients in spiritual crisis within traditional and non-traditional spiritual practices, alcohol and other substance abuse and addiction as well as self-esteem issues and personal growth. Empathy and non-judgmental acceptance enable me to provide a safe, supportive and trusting environment for my clients and to quickly build the rapport necessary for a beneficial counseling relationship. I work well with clients of all backgrounds ranging in age from late teens to the elderly.
