The focus and strength of Cascade Pathways is to address individuals struggling with any form of addiction or substance abuse. We strive to have a non-institutionalized, respectful, caring relationship - supporting the change and goals that a client truly desire. Sessions are generally with a single counselor, but when a person feels it can be helpful, group therapy can be available. Sessions are generally therapeutic in nature, but can also include educational offerings around the effects of drugs and alcohol, the neurobiology of addiction, the disease concept, recognizing denial mechanisms, coping with triggers and craving and relapse prevention. Therapists at Cascade Pathways have years of extensive training and experience in diverse modalities of substance abuse and addiction treatment, including Motivational Interviewing, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Stress Reduction-Relaxation and Mindulness/Meditation modalities. For individuals receptive to 12 Step approaches, Cascade Pathways can deepen and enhance this path to recovery. Other treatment options available at Cascade Pathways can include Men's Group, Women's Group, Adolescent Education and Recovery Groups, as well as groups specifically supporting those who utilize Suboxone or Methadone treatments. On occasion Cascade Pathways offers the opportunity to participate in a wilderness based adventure therapy recovery experiences.
