I work with a variety of client issues including anxiety and depression. I am gifted at helping clients to transition through the grieving process as well as supporting those who have experienced trauma. Additionally, I am adept at working with women who struggle in their relationships. I have a passion for working with mothers whose children have been diagnosed with Asperger's and are experiencing its challenges. A licensed psychotherapist and special education teacher, I received my Master's degree in Social Work at Simmons College in Boston and my Master's degree in Special Education at Rhode Island College. As the mother of a son with Aspberger's Syndrome I have first-hand experience of the obstacles and issues that arise daily. I guide mothers to cope with their concerns, difficulties, and stress while helping them to create a life of well-being for themselves and their family. Before opening private practice, I was an agency therapist doing crisis intervention. I also worked at RI Hospital with trauma cases of adults, children and families. In addition, I served as the clinical director of a non-profit agency where I created a program for single mothers and their children.
