My passion as a therapist is to help individuals and families heal through reconnecting with themselves and with each other. I specialize in working with children and families for a variety of concerns: family conflict, adjustment to divorce and/or blended families, oppositional behaviors, anger management, anxiety, depression, ADHD, grief, abandonment, trauma, and more. I view many mental health concerns as a result of trauma, whether big or small, direct or indirect. I've learned that, often times, traumatic events can be the catalyst behind many mental health symptoms. I also provide services to teenagers and adults. My focus in therapy is to first establish a trusting relationship, and then work together as a team to solve the problem. I see the client as the true expert on his/her life, and I am only there to help guide the healing process. Along with traditional therapeutic approaches like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, I also incorporate yoga practice as part of the therapeutic process for those who are interested.
