Amy Creegan is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who has been working with individuals and families for 10 years. She received her Bachelors in Psychology and Master's Degree of Science with a concentration in Marriage and Family Therapy from The University of Rhode Island. Amy offers individual and family therapy with a systems approach. She specializes in working with children and parenting. Amy has had extensive experience and has had consistent success working with children with Autism, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Anxiety, Depression and Oppositional Defiant Disorder (ODD). Amy utilizes many different interventions such as visuals, schedules, first/then, sensory strategies, psycho education and many other evidenced based Behavior Modification techniques. Shaping Behavior techniques along with strengths based interventions have helped to improve adjustment in the home, school, and community. Amy Creegan has joined Anchor Counseling Center and can help individuals, couples and families with a variety of issues using solution focused techniques and a friendly, warm and engaging approach. She strives to develop positive relationships and help clients gain insight into their lives and increase quality of life and relationships.
