I have over 30 years in the human service field. I have worked extensively with individuals, couples, families and groups.My specialities are PTSD, relationship problems, depression, anxiety, OCD, co-dependency, domestic violence, children's behavioral problems, chemical abuse and dependency. My clients tell me that my direct style of interacting has been very helpful for them. I have a true belief that we all have the ability to get better and solve our issues, but we don't always know it and need assistance to find our own healing. I utilize a variety of techniques including hypnotherapy. In my practice, along with traditional office based therapy, I also employ equine-assisted psychotherapy . This is an amazing experiential form of therapy that utilizes metaphorical tasks and interaction with horses (no riding) to mirror a person's difficulties and provides for experiential opportunities to make profound lasting changes. My practice is unique in that I offer both equine-assisted psychotherapy and traditional talk therapy. Clients that utilize both tell me that this is an extremely powerful and efficient combination for them to experience. Evening appointments are available. Most insurances accepted. I am willing to do sessions on SKYPE.
