As a Marriage and Family Therapist I find myself thinking and problem solving with a systems perspective. I utilize various modalities in my work but regardless, my work is team oriented. I look at therapy as an individual's journey but one that we travel together, exploring the various aspects of difficult and not so difficult times. My hope is to work with couples, families and individuals in an effort to explore the possibilities of living life in a new and expanded way. My training has been in systems work as well as Narrative Therapy. I enjoy working in a manner that views clients as experts in their own lives. I see my role as one of exploring with clients in an effort to expand narrowed perceptions of issues that arise. In my work as an Alcohol and Drug Counselor I take a Harm Reduction view. My goal is to assist people in finding balance and to make sense of the decisions they choose.
