I am a board certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner (PMHNP) specializing in a range of clinical issues including depression, bipolar affective disorder, anxiety disorders, ADHD, issues of loss and bereavement, experiences of past trauma, and end-of-life concerns. I work with adults of all ages, with a particular interest in the treatment of older adults and those who care for them. The services I provide include psychiatric evaluation, medication evaluation, ongoing medication management, and psychotherapy. I will work collaboratively with your other providers to co-create a treatment plan that is as integrated and holistic as possible. My experience working in healthcare settings since 1999 places me in a unique position to work meaningfully with patients struggling with acute or chronic medical illnesses. Additionally, my social work background contributes significantly to a perspective which views each individual in the unique context of his or her environment. As a solution-focused clinician, my role is to assist my patients to navigate life's challenges in a caring, respectful, and pragmatic way, using a blend of evidenced-based theoretical approaches best suited to the individual.
