Who We Are Portland Therapy Solutions, LLC is comprised of interactive, solution-focused therapists that offer a range of counseling services for individuals, children, couples, and families that are tailored to meet your respective needs. We provide strengths-based, needs driven, and client and family focused treatment for a range of issues including but not limited to: trauma and attachment, sexual abuse, PTSD, parenting conflict, relationships problems, blended families, divorce or separation, intimate partner conflict, depression, anxiety, impulsively, anger, loss and grief, behavioral disorders, Autism Spectrum Disorders, and more. Individual, Couples, and Family Therapy Life can be full of problems, anxieties, dead-end situations, or just feels empty sometimes. During our individual counseling sessions, we can help you identify and understand your particular situation. Together, we can work on problem solving, and establishing effective tools to address your situation and initiate positive changes in your life. A happy and fulfilled couple's relationship is a complex matter. Even if it is not dealing with any significant problems, routine and boredom can lead to new problems. Sometimes, it is just necessary to rediscover each other. We would be glad to support you with all of our experience and specific solution approaches to help you solve any difficult and not so difficult problems your relationship might be facing. Last, whether you are struggling to communicate with your child, caring for a child with complex mental health needs, or changing your family structure, family therapy can help improve positive communication and effective parenting strategies. Child and Adolescent Therapy Children and adolescents are different from adults, but like adults they can experience anxiety, depression, stress, and other mental health issues. We use developmentally appropriate approaches to work with children and teens age 5-18. One of the main differences in treating these issues in children and adolescents is that they aren't in control of their own environment -- you are. For this reason, it's critical that parents are an active part of their child or teen's treatment. While you are probably not your child's problem, you are definitely at least part of the solution. Parenting a child or teen who is struggling is hard. Parents and family members are encouraged to participate in the therapy process to better understand the problem and ensure positive and effective outcomes for the entire family system. We usually use a combination of individual and family or family-supported treatment to help kids and teens make changes in their lives.
