Seeking therapy can help when dealing with long-standing problems or issues resulting from recent changes in life. Individuals who have self-awareness coupled with personal courage, seek out counseling. As a psychotherapist, I will work with you in a caring, collaborative and confidential manner to identify and work through unresolved emotions, anxiety, family of origin issues, trauma, grief, relationship patterns, and negative beliefs that are blocking you. I offer individual, couples and family counseling with specific experience in women's issues including survivors of childhood sexual abuse. My special interest areas include, but are not limited to: Depression, Anxiety, Grief and Loss, Trauma, Stress, Relationship Issues, Life Transitions and LGBT Issues. My overall counseling approach is client-centered, supportive and focused on your personal growth. I use a variety of therapeutic techniques including person-centered therapy, reality therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy, mindfulness and relaxation techniques.
