I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor with 15 plus years of experience working with adults and adolescents. I believe strongly in the human capacity for change through improving self awareness. You will find me to be a caring and compassionate professional whose work is grounded in understanding individual needs. My goal is to assist clients in achieving increased happiness and decreased stress. Life issues impact our mental health in such a way that it can become difficult to sort through our thoughts and feelings. Therapy will help you explore these factors as they relate to your overall process of health and growth. Interests include stress management, anxiety, depression, living with chronic illness, non-pharmacological pain management, the effect of aging on both mind and body, relationship counseling, and the interaction between physical and mental health. I enjoy assisting clients in improving communication skills and strengthening their ability to advocate for themselves. I utilize tools from multiple evidence based approaches to serve the needs of individual clients. In addition to mental health counseling, my career history includes life coaching, teaching, and providing clinical supervision for post degree mental health practitioners who are working toward becoming licensed counselors.
