I have worked in the mental health field for over 25 years, and have experience dealing with issues of depression; anxiety; relationship problems (with couples and between parent and child); trauma, including sexual abuse; stress management, including job stress; anger management; and behavior problems with children. I provide individual counseling, couple counseling, play therapy, and family therapy to adults, adolescents, and children from age 5 years and older. I take an eclectic approach to treatment, incorporating strategies from a variety of different therapeutic philosophies, and tailoring treatment to the specific issue and the unique needs of the individual client. I rely heavily on cognitive behavioral strategies, education, emotional support, and a solution focused approach. I work in a group private practice along with other clinical counselors and social workers to whom I can refer clients if the client and I decide that services are required which I cannot provide.
