My primary focus in counseling is to meet people where they are, help them identify where they want to be, and enable them (through the use of various tools, interventions, and support) to accomplish their goals. I believe change is possible. I have witnessed my clients overcome and move forward after facing what seemed like insurmountable odds. Does change take work? Yes. But, is it worth it to become the person (or couple or parent) you want to be? Definitely! I have experience working with children, teenagers, and adults facing issues from depression and loss to trauma and relational issues. I also have experience working with children and teenagers suffering from learning and behavioral difficulties. I have been trained in Trust Based Relational Intervention (TBRI) which is an intervention designed for children who have experienced relationship-based traumas (institutionalization, multiple foster placements, maltreatment, and/or neglect).
