I work with early childhood (0-5) and school age children facing a range of issues from adjustment problems to severe behavioral/emotional challenges and significant trauma/abuse. Many of my clients begin services due to social/emotional problems impacting their ability to function at school. Throughout the therapeutic process, I seek to promote strong, healthy family bonds and attachments while addressing problematic behaviors and improving patterns of communication. I am passionate about helping children and their families succeed in reaching their potential. I am genuine, energetic and patient in my work with both children and their caregivers. I am a Registered Play Therapist. My playroom offers a variety of toys and expressive materials to facility communication with children. My approach is child/family centered. I have specialized training to work with children who've experienced trauma. This includes Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Child Parent Psychotherapy. Recognizing the busy schedules and demands of family life, I offer Saturday and evening appointments to accommodate my clients' needs. I am bilingual and have experience working with Spanish speaking families.
