I show curiosity and respect for my clients. Adolescents and Tweens, in particular, typically do not want to be in therapy in the first place. I see my role as one where I, through respect and courtesy, listen to my clients and learn what they want from therapy. What's real and troubling for a child/adolescent client may not be the same issue or concern a parent is having. One goal will be to increase communication between parent and teen to help them establish a healthy, working relationship with one another where there is a decrease in tension and an increase in mutual respect. I seek to help my clients accept responsibility or ownership for themselves and their behaviors. I offer individualized treatment using different tools. I am eclectic and experiential in my approach to working with adolescents and have tailored a love of experiential/outdoor adventure based counseling to the indoor setting. Appointments are scheduled Monday - Saturday. Evening appointments are available Monday - Thursday.
