No openings in my practice at present. However, openings for individuals interested in depth psychotherapy provided by supervised graduate level nurse practitioner students from the psychiatric and mental health nursing program at Shenandoah University. This is not a medical model psychotherapy. Therefore, no diagnosis or medication management will be provided. Fee minimal for 45minute sessions. Initial screening will be required. Depth Psychotherapy works with the unconscious mind beyond typical counseling and medical models. Records will be confidential but some unidentifiable information may be used, per client's written permission, for furthering research and education in the practice of depth psychotherapy. My approach focuses on present day and any underlying issues that may be difficult for you to find alone. Allowing certain life experiences and feelings to surface and be worked with directly can relieve suffering rather than the typical medical model approach that, although relieves symptoms, may mask underlying issues. I offer a unique practice for working with psychological and emotional issues and illness that are creating symptoms in the body such as migraines, gastrointestinal issues, hypertension, chronic pain, eating issues including obesity, low energy or hyperactivity, addictions, stress related medical illnesses, autoimmune disease, arthritis, sexual issues and skin disorders.
