Getting "over it" isn't the goal; understanding and making peace with it is. Reaching out for help isn't weak, it is a strength that can make the difference. Addressing what is bothering you can allow you to live instead of just making it through another day. Looking for a "cure" is often what keeps us from working with a process that makes things better. Many issues assault our abilities. Working through trauma, anger/rage, grief, shame, self-hatred, co-occurring disorders, behavioral and substance issues can give us an opportunity to find life-altering answers. In addition to the use of cognitive/behavioral therapy, I am also trained/certified in EMDR therapy.
