I have expertise in working with affective disorders, stress management, family and marital issues. I am happy to work with individuals who would like to discuss existential or religious issues, and I work with people from all religious and spiritual backgrounds. I integrate psychodynamic psychotherapy with existential and cognitive/behavioral methods. I utilize a relational method of psychotherapy that helps engage the client in meaningful dialogue to help elicit the place where healing can happen. I find that often patients can reduce symptoms of anxiety, depression, anger and other emotional issues when engaged in a deep level of mutual dialogue. I am a therapist who has a strong foundation and working knowledge of various religious traditions and philosophical thought. I utilize this knowledge, along with many years of reading great literature, to help the client find what is meaningful and purposeful in his or her life.
