To me, being a therapist is a privilege, and I like to work with anyone who is eager to try and understand what is happening to them in their life. Together, we'll try to understand all the factors that are creating the trouble - including some of the unconscious ones - and then we'll put them in perspective, cut them down to size, and talk about what can be done. I create a safe, intelligent, and comfortable environment where we can talk about anything together without judgment. My office is a safe place to be yourself. I work with men, women and adolescents. I know that people have jobs, and so my hours include work on the weekends and the evenings. I have a sense of humor, and I'm flexible in my approach, while having been trained in the classical psychoanalytic tradition. I've spent some time in a monastery and am widely read in spiritual and religious matters, and feel very comfortable in dealing with them. Online issues, social anxiety, and sexual struggles and identity issues are an interest. I believe in patience, and in listening very closely.
